Two Toes Idea Camp 2023

What is idea camp? and who or what is a Two toes?

Idea Camp is a creative retreat for anyone wanting to expand their creative knowledge, explore different mediums, make new friends, while most of all having fun and making cool art. Whether you’re a painter, designer, videographer, print maker, or just dabble, idea camp is for everyone who is curious about art and learning. The amazing hosts Tala & Kika, the creatives behind Two Toes Creative, organized actives everyday to teach you new skills through guided drawing actives, out of the box exercises, creative hikes, unique workshops, etc.

Idea camp also had an amazing private chef who created beautiful artistic food 3 times a day from all local ingredients. We also were lucky enough to have a yoga teacher teach us yoga each day.

There was something truly magical about this camp, the people, the place, that I can’t be put into words easily. This trip helped to remind me why I started creating in the first place by breaking me out of my comfort zone and introducing me to a community of other creatives that I know will be my friends for life. I could say so much more but I feel like pictures will speak louder.

This is a little book I made during a 30 minute challenge where we each drew a random item out of a bag and had to make something with it. I drew a small sewing kit. Since I don’t sew I was nervous at first until another person helped me come up with the idea to sew a little book.
